One of my January blog posts was about purchasing a DNA test to determine my genetic ancestry. I finally received the results, and it was quite surprising. I am 80% Sub-Saharan African and 13% European. I wasn’t surprised with the first two findings. However, the last group was a total surprise. I am 7% East Asian. This is not Native American, but East Asian. I could not believe it. It’s amazing what can be discovered through DNA analysis.
Below is the certificate that I received. The next test that I want to complete determines what area(s) of Sub-Saharan Africa my ancestors originate.
